You’ll find some awesome urban clothing brands available today. Every clothing brand have their own individual designs and styles and they get their influences from their own lives. There are also a wide range of different streetwear clothing brands which means that there is a lot of competition. This is not a bad thing though because the consumer is the one that benefits. In order to get by in this retail market means that you have to stand out from the crowd. As a result the clothes have become more individual with original designs and innovations in looks.

Paul Frank Industries is a clothing label from west coast of America. It was started by a fashion designer called Paul Frank and his good friend Ryan. The label is known for its colourful characters that feature on the clothes. The most reknowned of these is Julius, the monkey that is the logo of the label. Paul Frank also make accessories like toys, keyrings and sun glasses that are inspired by vintage fashion.

Obey clothing was started by graffiti artist Shepard Fairey. Shepard’s stencil art has become more famous and loved and so has the clothing. Many Obey clothing designs feature the same artwork that grace city walls around the globe. They feature big colourful prints and graffiti designs. The success of Obey clothing can be seen by the amount of press attention they have seen recently because of the Obey “Progress” and “Hope” t-shirts.  The designs feature some of Shepard Fairey’s most controversial artwork to date and have been causing a stir.

WeSC clothing is a clothing brand from Sweden. They are well known for the loud colours and simple designs featured on their clothing. WeSC stands for We are the Superlative Conspiracy which represents the streetwear labels mentality. WeSC clothing is unique and creative and they have also moved into the music market. WeSC headphones are known for their high quality audio and stylish street style.

With so many urban streetwear clothing labels out there, it can be tricky to choose which label fits in with your style. Especially as urban clothing and streetwear have their own individual niches. Urban clothing tend to be made up of clothing labels either worn or owned by hip hop and rap artists. Streetwear brands are more likely to be started by graffiti artists or designers that use street art techniques to create clothing designs. There is also a more high end of the streetwear clothing market that caters for a more expensive look. This is down to the style being taken on by top fashion labels and high street stores.
