The perfect time to celebrate Shakespeare love poems and other sonnets

without comments

For those who care for the poems of past, this year and the month of May can be considered as one of the best ways to relish these poems. And to be more exact, this is the time to show appreciation once again to the great sonnet works of Shakespeare, Shakespeare being one of the big names when it comes to cute love poems and sonnets about love. But why is May a perfect time to celebrate love and cherish the poems of Shakespeare?

The year as the 400th year of Shakespeare’s sonnets and poems.

Well the third week of the month of May marks the 400th anniversary of the publication of Shakespeare’s sonnets. According to records, the first edition of the sonnets which include some great poems was released on May 20, 1609 and this was made possible by Thomas Thorpe. Other sources will zero-in on a different date, but still they are one in saying that the first edition of the master’s sonnets was published in 1609, thus the year 2009 marks the 400th year of the sonnet’s existence. After 400 years of being published, Shakespeare words as used on his poems remain true, popular and continues to promote love. And the question is, will there be modern words as well that can lasts for the next 400 years and match the longevity of the words and the poems of this great master?

What are sonnets and love poems?

As a lead off to the celebration, some Shakespearean scholars have noted that Thorpe may have released the poems and the sonnets of Shakespeare without the consent of the author. But whether or not there was consent, the important thing is that the precious gems of Shakespeare in the form of sonnets and poems has been made available and has inspired many generations of lovers. The sonnets of the poet are actually forms of poems, and these sonnets are considered as the most common forms of poetry. Sonnets that talk of love, called love poems in general are poems composed of thirteen lines and these poems contain a set rhyme and arranged in a logical structure. But perhaps the best description for these sonnets is that these sonnets are associated with love poetry and as such they are known as love poems. Poems in the form of sonnets are known to use the poetic diction that is based more on vivid imagery.

Reasons why sonnets and love poems of Shakespeare and other masters stand the test of time.

And the best known poems and sonnets are the ones written by Shakespeare. The sonnets and poems of Shakespeare introduced many generations of lovers to timeless poems’ lines. Lovers and couples who know their love poems know these lines’ “shall I compare thee to a summer’s day” or perhaps the more vivid “remembrance of things past”. Poems of this celebrated poet contain lines that express many thoughts about love and even betrayal. Sonnets and poems that talk about love are considered as the most personal poems around, may be because these poems addresses one of the most important emotions known to man- to love. These kinds of poems are here to stay, as long as man continues to love. Just look at the works of Shakespeare- it continues to make the romantics’ heart beat faster even after 400 years.

Customer Satisfaction Surveys - Top Tips

without comments

Why bother?

Good customer service is the life blood of any business. New customers are important but good customer service will help generate customer loyalty and repeat business. With each satisfied customer your business will secure many more customers through word of mouth and you should always keep in mind that if you are not taking proper care of your customers there is always a competitor that will.

A Customer Satisfaction survey will help you not only identify problem areas but will also demonstrate to your customers that you care and are proactive in looking for ways to improve the service that you provide.

Where do you start?

Objective - Before you start compiling your survey consider what the objectives of the survey are, in that way you will remain focused and find it easier to decide what questions to ask.

Analysis - When the survey is complete consider how you will analyse the answers.

Keep in mind that ‘closed’ questions (where a respondent is asked to choose from a limited number of responses) are much easier to analyze than ‘open’ questions (where the respondent can reply in anyway they want).

A lot will depend on the likely volume of respondents, the higher the volume the more important it is to have an easy method of analysing the results.

Opportunity – Keep in mind that as well as obtaining valuable market research data customer surveys are also a good way to advertise aspects of your service that your customers may not be aware of.

Before you publish the survey confirm that the questions you have asked will provide you with market research data that when analysed will help you make informed decisions.

Then, read through the survey from a marketing view point, check that you have phrased each question so that every opportunity has been taken to promote your business?

The ideal question will perform the following three functions:-

  • Market research - provide valuable feedback to help you improve your customer satisfaction levels and in turn your business
  • Marketing - promote aspects of your business
  • Information/Education - advertise a service that you provide that your customers may not have been unaware of

For example:- Do you find the in-store baby changing facilities useful?

In asking this question the store will hopefully not only receive useful feedback on the baby changing facility but they will also promote the store as being a child-friendly and caring store even to those the customers who do not actually require the facility.

Warts and all – to benefit most from a customer survey you need to be prepared to dig deep and accept the worst.

A customer satisfaction survey should be designed to identify any problem areas so that they can be fixed; conducting regular customer satisfaction will help prevent complacency and will also give early warning on where you may be losing business to your competitors initiatives.

What questions should you ask?

Although it is a given that each business is likely to have specific and unique factors that are important in providing good customer services there are common areas that are relevant to all businesses be they a physical store, online internet store or a service industry. The following are some key areas to providing good customer service.

Communication - Do you make it easy for the customer to communicate with you?

When a customer telephones is the phone answered promptly; are enquiries about products or services properly handled? A good business will make every effort to ensure that whatever the customers query it is resolved by the right person, politely, quickly and fairly.

If there are reported problems that cannot be resolvable immediately do you promise to respond in a given time period and do you deliver on your promise?

Use a customer satisfaction survey to confirm that your customers find all your staff to be helpful, courteous and knowledgeable.

Location – Do your customers find it easy to visit you, if a physical bricks and mortar store, is it conveniently located with good access?

Making it pleasant, making it easy - For an internet business it is important to ensure that your website is aesthetically pleasing and easy to use.

Physical store or online website, is the store properly laid out, can your customers find what they need and is there sufficient information and help on hand to explain how a particular product works?

The right quality products – In addition to measuring the quality of the service that you provide you should ensure that the products and services that you provide match your customers’ requirements.

Value for money – Cheap or expensive is not always a good measure, value for money is.

Do your customers consider that the products you sell or the services you provide are value for money, if not, why not?

Speed and attention – The majority of customers will want to be dealt with quickly but attentively.

Are you doing everything to prevent any delays?

A good business will try to treat each customer as an individual, does yours? Attention is one thing but only if it leads to a quick and satisfactory resolution to the query.

Demographics and Specific issues – Take the opportunity to profile your customers, for example their gender, age group and where they live?

The more you try to understand your customers the better you will be able to target your business.

Allow customers to highlight their specific problems and provide contact details so that any problems might be later addressed and their concerns followed up.

What is next?

Having completed the survey analyse the results.

Trends – Look for specific and common areas where the customer service is found wanting.

Ask yourself honestly if any criticism that you receive is valid and if there anything that can be done to resolve or minimise the problem?

Training – Are all employees properly trained and do they have sufficient knowledge?

Where employee training programmes have been implemented have they had a positive impact on the business?

Follow-up – If a customer has raised a specific issue through completing a survey ensure that they are contacted and that their complaint is properly addressed.

Do not lose the opportunity to resolve a problem and keep a customer.

Continuously Monitor - Make changes and then measure by issuing further surveys.

If you are concerned about customer satisfaction and would like to view a sample survey for a store that will demonstrate some of the above advice please view the Sample Customer Survey

For Those Buying Roofs and the Various Advantages

without comments

When you have to roof your house with roof shingles, some problem may occur. One should expect that he will be spending money and with that kind of money people want to be absolutely sure about their selections. Making bad decisions in terms of the kind of material selected and it’s quality may lead to utter disappointment and regret. Other possibilities needs to be considered as well such as the weather conditions of the area where your home is located, and also how your house is structured.

Metal roofs will provide a quite stylish look but construction material costs always seem to be on the increase and never seem to come down, a trend that also obviously affects prices of roofing components. Cost is one of the major concerns that scares people off when in the planning phase of their metal roof costruction, but don’t forget that the positives of having good quality roofs are too good to be ignored when considering your material choice in favor of other roofing methods. The key to succeeding in ones bid to get a good metal roof is to look for the best deals for roof materials without harming the products quality in any way.

A roof made from metal has a wide range of plus points whereof one is the toughness of the material. One who’s minding the roofing’s price will be pleased to note that the usual life span of a metal roof is 30 years depending on the quality of the product and the manufacturer. What this means is that as a homeowner you don’t have to worry about the recurring costs that comes with repairing and replacement that is the usual problem with conventional roofing.

If you decide to hire a roofing contractor to take care of the task then you can assure yourself of employing someone who can supply you with the metal roof’s aesthetics saving you the frustration of dealing with incorrect installation. The project will obviously turn out a bit more expensive than if you did it yourself but at the end of the day, all of it will be worth it.

More knowledge about roofing materials is usually easy to find either by traveling to any nearby stores that have roofing materials for sale or by shopping online. However due to certain reasons such as restrictions in inventory and marketing, Internet stores could offer roofing supplies at a lower cost than conventional shops.

Acne Scarring - Ways of Removing It

without comments

In simple terms, an acne scar is the visible legacy of your skin’s tissue damage it has suffered whilst the inflammation was at it’s peak. Whenever the skin is damaged in any way, blood gets to the area carrying a mixture of the natural defences found within our own body. The body’s immediate response is to heal and prevent further problems in the way of infection from external sources.

Unfortunately, although our skin does invariably manage to heal itself, it often does so with little regard to how it appeared in its former state. Once acne scars have formed, there are several ways of getting rid of them.

The most extreme of treatments would certainly be surgical procedures which can be carried out either via plastic surgery, laser therapy or collagen injections. These methods usually involve difficult procedures, skilled and trained professionals, and in the case of laser therapy in particular, very expensive equipment. It is unsurprisng then that the cost of these treatments resultantly is considerably higher in price than alternatives.

Simpler methods of treating acne scars include processes such as micro-dermabrasion, collagen induction therapy and silicone sheets. These methods, can be often provided by beauty professionals and clinics, can be carried out at home successfully, at a much lower cost. Often these simpler procedures can create as good a final result and usually do not require a period of recovery after treatment.

It is important that before choosing a method of treating acne scars, that research is done into each of the alternatives so the right balance can be made between all of the advantages and disadvantages. It is also worth baring in mind the recovery period, the length of time various treatments take as well as any potential downsides.

Please remember to consult a trained medical professioanl  before proceeding with any type of medical procedure. Do not act upon any advice based soley upon this site.

Credit card issuers deploy the universal default clause to steal from debtors

without comments

Yes we all know that any agreement or contract out there has that barely readable print of information that is purposefully held back, but not really wanting to be seen. I know credit card sign up forms in particular are drafted in a manner in which only a money hungry attorney can figure out and that many people do not even bother to strain their eyes and read it. But, it is very important to know just what you are getting yourself into, particularly when it comes to those credit card agreements. The majority of the card services out there have some very nasty and aggressive disclosures that may stop people from taking their policy terms if they were totally aware of what is written, hence the tiny, washed out print on the back.

There is a wide range of points that are mentioned and normally many methods in which the agreement can be altered if the card company wishes to do so. It’s imperative to understand how and what points contribute towards a change. Pretty much every one of the changes will benefit the credit card company and will almost always be a disservice to you, the debtor.

There are various different changes that a consumer has to watch out for. It’s no secret to many debtors that an interest rate will change if an account becomes past due by either sliding behind on the monthly dues or going over the credit limit. Most companies will consider you past due and raise your interest rate after going late on just a single payment. But, by how much and for how long? Those are important questions to think about prior to buying into the terms of the agreement.

Now, I understand everybody likes to pay their debts in a timely fashion and that most people don’t forecast any reason for it to happen to them, but unforeseen issues do pop up and many debtors find themselves possibly going late with a payment. If that happens your interest rate may all of the sudden shoot through the roof and it might take many months of making up to date payments to restore the previous APR, if they even feel like lowering the rate.

Credit card issuers typically have quite a bit of breathing room through their fine print to virtually do what they want. About 55% of credit bankers out there have what’s called a universal default clause. These universal default clauses grant them the right to raise your credit card APR when you fall past due on a totally different line of credit or agreement. Falling behind on a car, utility, or home loan could give your credit card issuer the right to raise the APR on your credit cards. Falling behind on one bill can put you in a awful position, in which handling all of your bills becomes a impossible task because monthly minimums can no longer be kept to date due to these interest and payment increases. A lot of consumers aren’t aware of this, so it can become as a giant and frustrating surprise to them when that happens.

When trapped in this predicament you should really look into debt settlement.  This is a debt relief plan that can vastly assist in saving the debtor funds and help them get out of debt in a better amount of time.  No one should be deserted in debt for their entire lives and that’s precisely what the credit card companies want to do.

Wonderful Plano Personal Trainer

without comments

We have been training with a Lady Trainers To Go Plano personal trainer and just completed our 36 sessions.  My husband and I were very impressed that each workout session was handled so professionally. Our personal trainer in Plano was always prompt, energetic, skilled and knowledgeable.

She was also creative with our workouts. Instead of the ordinary, yet effective ways of getting in shape, she kept it full of variety. To keep us from getting burnt out on constant cardio and strength training, our Plano personal trainer incorporated Pilates, yoga and boxing into our workout sessions. Having this mix of exercises definitely helped both of us stay interested and motivated. Without her creativity those 6 a.m. sessions would’ve been unbearable.

Both of us feel that having a personal trainer come to your home is the ideal way to get in shape. Neither one of us is a huge fan of the gym, so working out at home gave us privacy, comfort and convenience. Our personal trainer also took into account our personal fitness needs and focused only on the best exercises to great results. Our schedules are very busy, so it meant a lot to us that she focused on only the necessary exercises. Having a trainer come to you definitely saves you time. More importantly, you get a distraction-free workout, which allows you to achieve your goals faster. We’re partial to our trainer, but are confident that Lady Trainers To Go is staffed with other wonderful Plano personal trainers. We definitely recommend this program to friends and family.

There are such a lot of mobile phone tariffs and tariff plans available today that it might be hard to find one that suits you best. You can try an online mobile store to choose a plan by comparing mobile phone tariffs. With an online dealer, you can find plans, special offers and hefty discounts. In no time, you can buy a new model and settle on a service provider that caters to your needs. The great thing is that if you cannot afford the costlier handsets, there are quite a few inexpensive sets to choose from and get a connection from the range of mobile phone tariffs.

Determine why you need a mobile phone. Next, look at handsets that come with the features you require and compare call rates and SMS plans. Make your final choice only then.

If you want a dash of bling, the Samsung D900 Red phone is for you. It comes with an incorporated camera with high optical zoom and auto focus and flash. You can use this to take high quality snapshots.

Want even better features and a high end look? You could try the Samsung i320. this is a lean and trim phone, with EDGE high speed data facilities, a chic camera, a complete QWERTY keyboard and Bluetooth connectivity. Free games online

without comments

Games were always popular on the internet and now more and more games are online and free for the people to use. Most of these free gaming sites are very popular and new are coming up all the time. So the question arises. Why a webmaster will build such a site. As always the answer is simple. Money. Because these websites become quite popular very fast especially with some kind of advertising promotion their repeating visitors user base is growing fast. The result is thousands and thousands of hits every time and this easily converts to clicks and money for the webmaster.

On the other side building such a website is not very easy except if you buy a commercial package with thousands of free games. But doing this you are competing with a thousand other websites that are using this software as well. This is not good in the eyes of the search engine bots because of duplicate content and other issues.

Talking about return of investment for such websites to my knowledge is very low or in some cases very late. With all this competitions this kind of websites cannot depend on search engine traffic and must rely on paid advertisement. Until the user base will grow large enough the return of investment is poor. An example of such a website you can find to the following link. Free games online.

By taking a look in his alexa stats we can easily see that this site is new and search engines just started to index it.

Let’s wish it good luck!
